  1. Power off / prepare the switcher
    • Make sure the SE-3200 is powered on once you finish cabling; you don’t need to use MENU on the unit for the IP change if you use the PC tool.
  2. Connect PC ↔ SE-3200 directly
    • Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the SE-3200’s LAN port and the other into your PC (or USB→Ethernet adapter). No crossover cable is needed.
  3. Give your PC a temporary static IP in the same subnet
    • Windows quick method: Start → type View network connections → Enter → right-click the Ethernet adapter → Properties → double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) → select Use the following IP address and enter:
      • IP address: 192.168.100.2
      • Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
      • Default gateway: 192.168.100.1
    • (If your environment already uses that subnet, pick another free address in 192.168.100.x.)
  4. Install & launch Switcher Image Import/Export
    • Run the downloaded SwitcherImageImEx_vXXXX.msi and follow the installer. After install, launch the tool from Start → Programs → datavideo → tools → SwitcherImageImEx.
  5. Select the correct network interface and scan
    • The software will prompt you to choose an Ethernet interface (if you have multiple). Choose the adapter you just configured (the one with 192.168.100.2) and click OK to scan. The utility has a built-in IP finder to locate the switcher on the same network domain.
  6. Connect to the SE-3200 from the utility
    • When the SE-3200 appears in the list, select it and click Connect. The software will show Connected if successful. If it won’t connect, disable firewall/antivirus temporarily (see troubleshooting below).
  7. Open the software’s Setup / Network panel
    • In the utility click Setup (in the MENU SELECT pane). You’ll see the unit’s current network settings and the Target IP field.
  8. Change Addr Mode / IP / Mask / Gateway in the tool (no control panel needed)
    • To set a static IP: change Addr Mode to Static and enter your desired IP (for example 192.168.100.101 or another free address), Network Mask 255.255.255.0, and Gateway 192.168.100.1.
    • To use DHCP: change Addr Mode to DHCP (the router will assign an address). Note: if you pick DHCP, the IP shown may be blank until the router assigns one.
  9. Save the settings
    • Click Save Setup (or Save) in the utility. Rebooting the unit is required. Once rebooted, open the tool again and click scan, then connect.
  10. Verify connectivity
    • From your PC command prompt: ping <new_IP> (e.g., ping 192.168.100.101).
    • In the SwitcherImageImEx tool the Connect Status should show Connected.

Router / DHCP option (no control panel)

If you want the SE-3200 on an existing LAN (router):

  1. Connect PC and SE-3200 to the same router with patch cables.
  2. Set your PC to Obtain IP automatically (DHCP) and run the SwitcherImageImEx tool — use its IP finder to locate the SE-3200 (or check your router’s DHCP client list).

Troubleshooting (common issues)

  • Software can’t find the SE-3200:
    • Make sure you selected the correct NIC in the tool and your PC IP is in the same subnet as the switcher.
    • Disable firewall/antivirus temporarily — these can block the discovery/connect process.
    • Try a different cable, USB→Ethernet adapter, or another PC.
