Datavideo unveiled the MS-4000 4K Mobile Video Studio, a mobile live-production system that condenses an entire control room into a single rugged flight case. Aimed at broadcasters, live-event producers, houses of worship, corporate AV teams, and educators, the MS-4000 lets one operator deliver multi-camera 4K/60p broadcasts almost anywhere, within minutes of arriving on-site.
“Viewers now expect cinema-grade quality even when the event is streamed from a hotel ballroom or a school auditorium,” said Jack Lin, president of Datavideo. “The MS-4000 fulfills that expectation without the cost, weight or setup time of a traditional fly-pack. Flip the lid and you have a full-function switcher, a 4K multiview monitor, dual 4K recorders and stream encoders, a digital audio mixer and an eight-station intercom—ready to go live.”
At the core of the MS-4000 is an 8-channel 4K/60p video switcher supporting both 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 inputs, ensuring smooth switching between UHD video sources. A new firmware upgrade further enhances the switcher’s capabilities by enabling up to 12 4K/30p input channels, making it ideal for complex multi-camera setups.
The MS-4000 provides all the advanced visual tools needed to create professional content, including chroma keying, luma keying, downstream key (DSK) for overlay graphics, and picture-in-picture (PIP) effects. Animated stinger transitions allow smooth scene changes, giving productions a polished, TV-quality look.
The MS‑4000 merges a 4K hardware recorder with an integrated encoder, letting you capture pristine ProRes 4K video at up to 2160p60. At the same time, you stream live in real time over RTMP, SRT, or HLS—so you deliver the show and secure a master‑grade archive in one pass. Whether it’s a live concert, town hall meeting, corporate presentation, or a hybrid classroom session, the MS-4000 is built to handle it all.
The integrated 17.3-inch 4K UHD monitor delivers a sharp, crystal-clear multiview interface, allowing producers to view all input sources, preview, and program outputs simultaneously. The monitor also includes essential tools such as aspect markers, zoom-in, check field, false color, audio level meters, and OSD timer, enabling real-time monitoring and fine-tuning of visual quality during production.
Audio quality is equally prioritized in the MS-4000. The system includes a 9-channel digital audio mixer with multiple input types (XLR, TRS, embedded SDI/HDMI audio), giving operators precise control over their audio sources. A standout feature is the built-in audio delay function. The AD-300 professional audio delay device has a 3000 ms audio delay range, and each input can be adjusted individually in milliseconds to achieve professional-grade sound and video synchronization.
The MS-4000 includes a wired 8-channel digital intercom system with noise-free, full-duplex communication for team-based productions. This ensures smooth coordination between directors, camera operators, and other crew members during live events.
Despite its wide range of professional features, the MS-4000 is housed in a durable, rugged and mobile flight case. The flight case design makes it transportable and quick to set up, making it the ideal production studio for mobile teams, live event organizers, and broadcasters working on location.
The Datavideo MS-4000 will be available in June 2025 through authorized Datavideo dealers worldwide. For demo requests or more information, visit official website.
